This exciting photo workshop gives you the chance to fill the frame with great shots of the best of North American wildlife: wolves, red fox, silver fox, lynx, mountain lion, bobcat, and more. Jim chose the autumn for this workshop because the animals are in their prime coats in preparation for the cold winter months plus the environment is stunning with the fall color. Even though the animals are captive, the photographs will look entirely natural with the beautiful environments we have access to during the workshop.
Some of the photography sessions are done with a large enclosure -- 1/2 acre or more -- while others are conducted in the open where the animals are entirely free to roam. You will be able to shoot from a low perspective which produces the most dynamic images. This is truly an incredible opportunity to produce outstanding wildlife portraits as well as action shots of the animals climbing, running, etc. Every day will be packed with amazing photo opportunities.
The workshop is based in Hinckley, Minnesota which is 1 1/2 hours north of Minneapolis by car. If you have any questions pertaining to what equipment to bring, safety issues, weather conditions, or anything else, contact Jim.
The photography starts the morning of October 6. That means you should arrive in Hinckley, Minnesota on Thursday, October 5. The recommended hotel is the Grand Casino Hinckley.
