I photographed this raccoon while I was leading a photo tour in Louisiana and Texas two years ago. The swamps in those southern states are intriguing and very photogenic, especially when it's foggy. This picture was taken in Caddo Lake from a boat. I used a 500mm focal length on my Canon 100-500mm zoom, and the settings were 1/640, f/7.1, and 4000 ISO. So many of the pictures we take now with high ISO settings were impossible just a handful of years ago. Only because of the incredible advances in camera technology (and noise mitigating software like Topaz DeNoise AI) are we able to take images like this.
