I love the names given to classic cars back in the day. This is a 1941 Chrysler Newport Dual Cowl Phaeton. I photographed it at a Concourse d'Elegance car show at Amelia Island, Florida, and then I replaced the original uninspiring background with autumn colors I photographed at the base of the Sierras in California. The car was already on grass so I didn't have to deal with creating realistic shadows. For the car, I used a 24mm focal length, and the settings were 1/40, f/16, and 250 ISO. Interestingly, I photographed the Chrysler with my Canon R5 digital camera, but the autumn landscape in the background was shot with medium format (6x7cm) film, specifically Fujichrome Velvia. The transparency was scanned by an Imacon scanner.

Jim - I know, Barb. But to put things in proper perspective, when I asked the owner how much it was worth, he said, "Oh, somewhere between 3 and 7 million dollars, depending on what the market would bear."
