I took my group to a falconry center today here in Scotland, and we were able to photograph several beautiful birds in flight. While these are captive birds, taking pictures of birds in flight is a challenge in any circumstance. The gyr falcon we had was incredibly difficult because it was so fast. This is an Eurasion eagle owl from Siberia. It's a stunning raptor with a beautiful face, compelling orange eyes, and amazing patterns in its feathers.
