We have such amazing photo editing capabilities now. Learning them is just the beginning. Figuring out the artistic direction to go with any given image is really the hardest part . . . and obviously the most creative. I photographed these two models in Venice, and I was immediately drawn to their costumes because I love these colors. I wanted to use a striking background, but I didn’t have an appropriate lavish interior from medieval Europe to use. So, I created one in AI using the online Midjourney software. The prompts I used were: “A lavish mint green and cyan 18th century palatial living room, baroque style, cinematic lighting, photo realistic –ar 3:2”. The suffix code (--ar 3:2) defined the picture as a horizontal rectangular picture. I then selected the two models and pasted them into the room. Finally, I resized them to fit and added a small shadow beneath both gowns because everything casts a shadow, even in soft, diffused light.
