I wanted to post one more image from the Black River in Brazil -- the trip I just returned from. The wild and artistic patterns in the river bed -- brown algae, decaying plant matter and various minerals in the sand -- make the most visually arresting patterns in nature I've ever seen. I shot this from my drone, a DJI Air 3S, from an altitude of 330 feet with the equivalent of a 70mm lens. The settings were 1/1000, f/2.8, and 200 ISO. Most landscapes look best when photographed at sunrise and sunset, but with this particular subject seen from an aerial perspective, the best lighting is either overcast or when the sun is overhead.
