This huge chrome heart in Dubai, located in an outdoor area of a downtown mall, is about 12 feet high. The Burj Kalifa, the tallest building in the world (at this time), can be seen behind it. I was careful to position myself to align both elements. Unfortunately, there was a lot of construction going on behind the heart and it was enclosed by an ugly black wall. So, I simply replaced all of the unsightly stuff with the sky. Without the buildings and the stores of the mall, this picture takes a turn toward the surreal, I know. But to be sure, this whole city looks surreal as hundreds of outrageously beautiful skyscrapers rise out of the desert. My settings for this were 1/500, f/6.3, and 100 ISO, and I used a 21mm focal length on a 16-35mm lens.
