This is the city of Thun, Switzerland. It took me about an hour to find this great location. The water spouting in the lower part of the image is practice for a light show scheduled for the evening. What's interesting about this picture is that it was raining when I took it. The colors were dull, the contrast was low, and even though the composition and the vantage point were good, the image on the camera's LCD screen wasn't impressive. So, in ACR post-processing I added vibrance, saturation, contrast, and clarity. I then opened the image in Photoshop and used the sky replacement feature to replace the white sky (due to the low rain clouds) with a sky showing more definition and interest. Knowing how to do these things can save a lot of pictures.
