These are two South African small-spotted genets I was lucky enough to see in Namibia. You can see the golden light of sunset behind and to the left of the animals. Usually, low angled sunlight is desirable and beautiful, but in this case I was happy the genets were shielded from the direct light by desert vegetation. The diffused light was ideal, at least based on my own sense of aesthetics. Had the sun been shining on them directly, they would have appeard too yellow for my taste. My settings were 1/400, f/6.3, and 800 ISO, and I used a Canon 100-500mm lens to fill the frame with the two subjects.
