Dealing with crowds of people when you're trying to take good photographs is a challenge. In Venice, there are hundreds of costumed models but there are thousands of people taking pictures of them. To isolate a model, other than organizing a private shoot, is difficult. That's why I set up 3 private shoots during this workshop. In this situation, the original photograph of this model had a messy background -- people's heads, parts of buildings, other costumes -- so I replaced it with small sections of the same costume taken from various angles. I used my go-to lens for festivals, the Canon 24-105mm zoom, and the settings were 1/125, f4.5, and 100 ISO.
