I know this looks like a stairwell, but it's actually the inside of a 19th century elevator shaft. It's in a hotel in Vienna, Austria. The ornate pieces of wrought iron were spaced such that I couldn't fit my Canon R5 and a wide angle lens between them. This meant I couldn't take the picture I really wanted. So, my only option was to use my iPhone 15 because it was slender enough to fit through the iron. I had to use the self-timer on the phone because that allowed me the time to position it at the best angle for the optimal composition. I used the .5x wide angle lens on the phone and, of course, shot in RAW mode. Depth of field on these phones is amazing, so I was able to hold focus on the iron just a few inches from the lens as well as the parts of the structure several floors up through the shaft. I still applied Topaz Sharpen AI to make sure it was as sharp as I wanted. Plus, I used Topaz Gigapixel AI to increase the resolution.
