Incredible dunes

I posted a few shots last July from my research trip to Lencois Maranhensis National Park in Brazil. After a few months I often revisit all the raw files to see if I can find more images I like that I might have missed on the first edit. This landscape is an example. So many of my shots from this amazing place were taken from a drone, but this one was taken with my Canon R5 and a 100-500mm telephoto. The early morning light was exquisite, and the shape of the dunes plus the moody sky drew my eye. The settings were 1/500, f/13, and 400 ISO. When shooting landscapes, I don't like elements in the composition to be out of focus. It's the details, the texture, the shapes, and the colors we nature photographers love so much about landscapes. Throwing them out of focus doesn't make sense to me, with few exceptions. I'm leading a photo tour here next June.
