I saw and photographed the total solar eclipse an hour before sunset in northern Spain today. It was truly breathtaking. Totality lasted about one minute and 47 seconds. This picture was taken near the end of the eclipse sequence. You can see the moon partially blocking part of the sun just before sunset. This amazing and very rare scene stopped traffic. I used a Canon 100-500mm zoom set to 400mm, and the settings were 1/2500, f/7.1, and 1250 ISO.
