Wild architecture

This is the remarkable lobby of the Marriott Marquis Hotel in Atlanta, Georgia. I didn't have my Canon camera with me at the time, so I grabbed this with an iPhone 15 on the wide angle function. Even though iPhones aren't as capable as dSLR and mirrorless cameras (the resolution, the frame rate, long focal lengths, etc.), they still have remarkable picture taking abilities. In low light, especially, they often do much better than traditional cameras and no tripod is needed unless it's excessively dark. Also, camera phones have built-in HDR, so highlight and shadow details are retained even in contrasty situations. Several people who join me on my photo tours now travel just with an iPhone for the convenience and the lack of weight.
