An online course with Jim Zuckerman in eight lessons
This comprehensive course in learning to see photographically will make a huge difference in how you think about photography. It will unlock your creativity, your vision, and your artistry. The eight lessons are designed to give you concrete steps to improve your picture taking.
Jim's writing and teaching style is friendly, clear, and constructive. He teases apart the essential ingredients that go into great picture taking and communicates these principles to you with beautiful and inspiring images as examples. And he makes it very easy for you to incorporate his artistic and technical guidance into your own photography.
Once you pay for the course, you will be sent an email with links to the lessons. You can then download them to your computer, iPad, iPhone, or any other device.
This course presumes you have a basic understanding of the principles of photography, namely the relationship between shutter speeds, f/stops, and ISO. The material is geared to the beginner with some experience as well as intermediate photographers. If you are more advanced but aren't really happy with your pictures, then this course gives you inspiration and a fresh new way of looking at your subjects.
How it works
You will receive all eight links to the lessons upon receipt of payment. After you study each lesson and feel ready to email Jim your pictures per the assignment at the end of the lesson, he will then give you a detailed critique of your work. He highlights your strengths and offers suggestions for improvement in areas that require your attention. Jim's critiques are kind but always honest. Sometimes he uses Photoshop to alter or enhance one of your pictures to show you what he's thinking.
There is no time limit on this course. You can fit the instruction into any schedule. Jim will critique your work when it is submitted, even if it takes you many months to complete the course.
Included is a phone call to Jim once a week, if you wish, to discuss individual pictures you've submitted, equipment you're considering buying, great photo destinations, marketing your work, or anything else you'd like to discuss relating to photography or travel.

Course fee: $259 USD. This includes eight lessons, eight written critiques, and eight weekly phone calls if you would like to speak with Jim. Refund policy: After you've received all eight lessons and the first critique, you have seven days to request a refund if you feel this material is not suited for your needs. The entire fee will be funded to you.
