Chasing Paradise: Photo Tour to the Philippines
January 12 - 22, 2028
The Philippines is truly one of the great treasures of Southeast Asia. It is a stunning destination for nature photographers, boasting phenomenal turquoise lagoons, jagged limestone cliffs, unique tropical wildlife, amazing underground rivers, and impressive caves. The Philippine archipelago comprised of 7000 islands is the second largest in the world, and that means this tour includes several flights, allowing us to explore and photograph some of the most beautiful islands. Drone photography here is incredible, too. Hidden azure lakes, shallow lagoons, karst formations, and tropical vegetation form beautiful patterns from the air. Also included in this tour is the wild and colorful Ati-atihan festival in which insane costumes, body paint, and street dancing create an experience you'll love to photograph and something you'll never forget.
What you'll learn on this photo tour:
-- How to shoot street festivals
-- Camera settings for shooting in illuminated caves
-- Depth of field solutions for photographing the tiny tarsiers
-- How to capture saturated tropical colors
-- Using panoramas in lieu of wide angle lenses
-- How to mitigate contrast on sunny days
-- What's the best lens choice for shooting rice terraces
