Milford Sound is on the South Island of New Zealand. It’s famous among tourists and photographers because the mountains that border the sound are so dynamic, so graphic. The problem is it rains so much here that it’s a challenge to get an attractive sky. Sometimes you get lucky, though. I took this shot with a 16-35mm wide angle lens, and the settings were 1/500, f/8, and 1600 ISO. Sunsets and sunrises far from the Equator last a long time, giving you the chance to hunt for good compositions.
