This is the bottom of the incredible staircase in the Lello Bookstore in Porto, Portugal. I took the shot with my 14mm Sigma wide angle lens, and the settings were 1/00, f/5.6, and 12,800 ISO. In post-processing, I used Topaz DeNoise AI to mitigate the noise. To get a shot like this with no people in the frame, you have to be first in line in the morning. They open at 9am, so I'd start the line at 7:30am. When I was first here, I had the place to myself. Now, thanks to Instagram, it's virtually a mad house all day long with everyone doing selfies here. It's really bizarre: Most of the people aren't interested in photographing the staircase. They only want a photo of themselves in front of it. I have no words.
