This is one of my favorite cathedrals in Europe. It is St. Mary's Basilica in Krakow, Poland. The blue ceiling is very unusual, and the architectural style is fabulous. I shot straight up with a 14mm wide angle lens, and the settings were 1/5, f/2.8, and 400 ISO. It's interesting that, compositionally, the frame is essentially divided into thirds. It's important to stand dead center in a shot like this or else the lines of the building will be skewed. In most medieval cathedrals, you can use designs on the floor to know where the exact middle of the room is. Instead of using a tripod, which was prohibited, I rested the camera on the floor and used the self-time to trigger the shutter.
