I am in Venice right now for my Carnival in Venice workshop. With all the beautiful costumes here set in a medieval environment, I usually focus on the color, design, and artistry of the elegant costumes. But today I was intrigued by the amazing, other-worldly masks worn by a small group of people who coordinated their style and theme for dramatic effect. With so many people trying to photograph them, it was hard to get exactly what I wanted. So, I took individual pictures of my favorite masks and then used Photoshop to arrange these elements into a single and what I feel is a dynamic composite. I used a 24-105mm for each of the images.
