I posted this picture a few years ago, but I wanted to share it again because it's one of my favorite images. I'm sure these baby mountain goats, when they looked down the sheer cliff, were thinking, 'Mom! You want me to go where?' I captured this on top of 14,000 foot Mt. Evans (the name was changed in 2023 to 'Mount Blue Sky') in Colorado. There is a parking lot at the top of the mountain, and often the wild goats hang around there. Surprisingly, they allow a close approach. I took this picture with a 24-105mm lens set to 82mm. My settings were 1/1000, f/9, and 200 ISO. Trying to capture a good composition with three animals, especially babies, is challenging. Only for one brief moment did the three goats assume this great position.
