These are baby snub-nosed monkeys I photographed in China playing in the trees. They are wild, but the rangers in the national park put out bananas daily and that brings in the monkeys from the surrounding mountains. The antics of the primates are so human-like; it's intriguing watching them in their natural environment. It's very easy to underestimate the speed with which these primates interact with each other. One would think shutter speeds in the 1/500th of a second range would be enough to freeze the action. Not true. Too many of my shots were slightly soft and I had to use Topaz Sharpen AI to improve them. My next photo tour to China that includes these monkeys is next January, and I will be using a shutter speed of 1/1250 to guarantee sharpness.
