I photographed this oryx in Namibia in sunset lighting. The sand dunes in this south African country are the largest in the world, and their red-orange coloration is stunning. In the Namib-Naukluft National Park, miles and miles of dunes border the main road on both sides. .For landscape photographers, it's Nirvana. Roaming all over the dunes, eking out a living in this harsh environment, are oryx. Once in a while you'll find one of these beautiful antelopes lit beautifully with a great background. I took this picture with a 400mm focal length, and the settings were 1/400, f/7.1, and 800 ISO.
