I've been to Indonesia 35 times, and the tour I'll be leading in August will be my 36th. I always try to find new things to photograph in this wonderful and very photogenic country, and these kids are one of those finds. I pay them a small amount of money to jump off the waterfall into a river, and they have so much fun that I joke with them (in the small amount of the Indonesian language I can speak) that because they are having such a great time, they should pay me! They all laugh at this 'bule gila' (crazy white person), and in the end they are happy with what I pay them. I used a 24-105mm lens, and my settings were 1/800, f/11 (to make sure both waterfalls were sharp), and 1250 ISO. I used the fastest frame rate on the camera, 14 fps at the time, to catch every nuance of the action. Space is still available for the August tour.
