Behind the Marina Bay Sands Hotel -- the image I posted yesterday -- is the spectacular Gardens by the Bay in Singapore. At twilight, the lights come on the fantasy trees and the entire scene becomes magical. At dark, there is a light show to music that, as a photographer, I don't appreciate because lights flash on and off all over the place. It makes getting a meaningful shot difficult. But before that happens, at twilight, it's truly great travel photography. My settings here were 1/125, f/4.0, and 2500 ISO, and I used a 105mm focal length. What's interesting about shooting in the blue hour is that the cobalt blue color in the sky occurs with or without a cloud cover.
