The biggest frustration I have in photographing wildlife is that I’ll never be able to take pictures of dinosaurs. How awesome that would be. Dangerous for sure, but incredible nevertheless. The closest I’ve come, though, is working in Photoshop to make images I would have taken. This is an amargasaurus that lived in what is now Argentina about 125 million years ago. I bought the detailed model, photographed it in silhouette, and then I combined it with a late afternoon shot of Bandon Beach on the Oregon Coast. Notice how the color and the light on the dinosaur matches the light on the surrounding rocks. I did that with a gradient fill after taking color samples with the eyedropper tool.
