In Kruger National Park, South Africa, I watched two hyenas chase a female leopard with two six-month-old cubs through thick vegetation. The female treed her cubs just in time to protect them from the predatory hyenas, and fortunately I was able to get a shot through the dense branches. I shot this with a 400mm focal length, and the settings were 1/400, f/7.1, and 1000 ISO. The Land Rover I was in was open to the sky so that allowed me to photograph the leopard cub who was about 30 feet above the vehicle.
