One of the ways to use a drone with great effectiveness is to fly it just 15 or 20 above a subject. It’s a perspective we rarely see (except, perhaps, from a second story vantage), and it turns all kinds of scenes into artistic, graphic designs. This is the Quang Phi Cau village incense factory in Hanoi, Vietnam, and the pictures from ground level are beautiful. But hovering a drone about 15 feet above the floor captured a remarkable graphic image. The settings were 1/160, f/2.8, and 400 ISO. My next photo tour to Vietnam is Oct. 13, 2025. If you have a drone, bring it!
