Indonesia bridal portrait

Traditional bridal adornment in Indonesia is quite beautiful and very exotic. I photographed this young girl dressed as a Javanese bride using only window light. Her hair, make up, and clothes were all done by a professional wedding studio. I then applied several Photoshop filters to abstract the image as if it were a painting. A favorite technique I use to achieve an effect like this is to apply a filter to one image, save it, and then apply a different filter to the same image and save it again as a separate file. I then paste one of the saved versions over the other and experiment with the blend modes that can be found in the layers palette. The settings for the original portrait were 1/250, f/8, and 640 ISO.
