This is the Grand Mosque in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. Across the street from the main entrance just happens to be a small pond of water that reflects the beautifully symmetrical architecture, and at sunset and twilight the scene is simply perfect. If I would have designed this myself to make a classically iconic photo, I couldn't have done any better. I used a 24-105mm lens set to 50mm, and the settings were 1/60, f/4.0, and 4000 ISO. My high ISO tells you I didn't use a tripod; instead, I simply handheld the shot knowing that high ISO settings today are not the kiss of death like they used to be. This is why I don't carry a tripod very much on my photo tours unless I'll be doing night photography and Milky Way images. I added the crescent moon in Photoshop.
