The first time I visited the Church of the Good Shepherd at Lake Tekapo on the south island of New Zealand was 1981. It was in the middle of nowhere and I was the only human being for miles around. Now, it's a zoo. There is a parking lot, buses come, areas are roped off, and newlyweds have their pictures taken here. The reason I mention this is because when I took this night shot of the Milky Way behind the church, the red color on the right side of the building came from brake lights on a bus maneuvering into a parking space about 50 feet away. The trees illuminated at the lower right are reflecting headlights of cars. I took this picture of the Southern Hemisphere sky with a Sigma 14mm f/1.8 lens, and my settings were 15 seconds, f/1.8, and 2000 ISO.
