This is a giant river otter eating an eel. So many of my pictures here in the Pantanal have been taken with high ISO settings due to the thick cloud covers we've had. Using ISO settings north of 3200, though, is a lot better than coming here in the 'peak season' -- the summer -- and shooting with high contrast and, at the same time, competing with dozens of other boats to get a good position on the animals and birds. My settings for this shot were 1/640, f/7.1, and 4000 ISO. I used a 500mm focal length to take this frame-filling shot, and in post-processing I used Topaz DeNoise AI.
