On May 7th I posted a night image of the Falkirk Wheel in Scotland. This picture shows the Wheel from the other side. You can see the canal onto which boats are lifted from the lake below using the Wheel's immense machinery. The repeating illuminated circles made a graphically pleasing design, and the reflection in the water essentially doubles the visual impact. To compress the circles of light, I used a telephoto lens --270mm on a 100-500mm lens -- and the settings were 8 seconds, f/8, and 500 ISO.
