I've photographed rice terraces in several Asian countries, and I think Vietnam has the most beautiful ones. It took centuries to construct them; often entire mountain sides have been carved by hand to expand farmland for growing rice. I shot this with my DJI Air 3S drone using a 24mm wide angle lens at an altitude of 250 feet. My settings were 1/320, f/1.8, and 110 ISO. I was hoping for low angled sunset lighting, but in the end I think the overcast light looks really good particularly because contrast is at a minimum. What I primarily look for in drone shots is strong graphic design. Beautiful shapes and great lines are what I seek out, so I'm composing as I'm flying based on what I see on the controller.
