This picture is impossible to get without going to go to extraordinary lengths. Sunrise at the Taj Mahal is the daily 'main event', and there are at least 200 people on the terrace every morning but probably more because they kept coming. They are also in the doorway and constantly moving about. I took 4 images: the woman, the Taj, the terrace just beyond the arch, and the archway. This is not a model I hired; rather, it's a woman whose sari I thought was particularly beautiful. I took the shot quickly from behind. To take the picture of the archway without people, I waited for a lull in the foot traffic. In post-processing I composited the images together to create what I had conceived in my mind.
